MelBurners is a volunteer-led community organisation here in Melbourne, Australia, they’re entrusted with furthering the culture that emerges from the Burning Man experience. Rooted in the values expressed by Burning Man’s Ten Principles, this culture is manifested through art, communal effort and individual acts of self-expression.

MelBurners run the Melbourne Decompression event in November each year post Burning Seed. They posted a shout out looking for designers – these projects, while they’re pro-bono they’re a great opportunity to get more creative – so I jumped at the opportunity. The brief was simply … it’s a bit of a piss take from Burning Seed’s ‘Ancient Future’ theme. Subject to interpretation – so we would love to see what you come up with.
